Alert Kigali Night Run is coming


the 2019 edition of  Kigali night run is scheduled on may 15th, this edition is the fourth one as it has established in 2016. the distance of this run is (5.4km), Over 2000 people are expected to participate the fourth edition of Kigali Night Run on may 15.

Due to organisers, the 5.4km run is open to all and will be starting from Kigali Business Centre (KBC) roundabout (convention center)  Kimihurura at 7pm.

This annual event is organised by Rwanda athletics Federation (RAF) in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Culture, the City of Kigali, and Rwanda National Police since 2016 as a build-up race to Kigali International Peace Marathon.

Runners will set off from KBC roundabout, pass behind Kigali Convention Centre to Ministry of Justice and head down to the Netherlands embassy at  Kacyiru, then  to KCB roundabout again, head to Primature (Office of the Prime Minister) and return to KBC roundabout.

the President of Rwanda Athletics Federation (RAF) Fidèle MUBILIGI, said that  the main objective of this event is to increase the awareness of the main event (Kigali International Peace Marathon) but to also give people a chance to explore the landscape of the City of Kigali at night.

This Year Kigali International Peace Marathon is marking the 15th Edition and  is set for june 16th and will be contested by a record over 10000 participants in  different categories as follows:

Date of the Event: 16 / 06 / 2019

Place: Kigali (Starting Point AMAHORO STADIUM – REMERA)

Full Marathon: 42,195 km (2 laps – AIMS Certified) (Competitive)
Half Marathon: 21,098 km (1 lap of the circuit -AIMS Certified) (Competitive)
Run For Fun : 10 km – no time keeping (No competitive)
Of all events, start and finish inside the stadium)

Registration closes on 15th June 2019 Midnight – Kigali Time.

Kigali International Peace Marathon is the only marathon event organised to promote peace and humanity all over World.
